It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Joseph “Walwin” Alexis, also known as “Hi Joe,” originally from Marquis, who resided at Diamond Estate, Victoria, St. Mark
Passed away on July 21, 2026,
At the age of: 83.
Left to mourn are his: Wife: Joan Barbara Alexis
Children: Vira Mitchell, Ezekiel Cupid, Cuthbert Edwards, Jennifer Alexis Codner, and Jenson Alexis.
Siblings: Veronica Agnis Baptiste also known as “Winifred”, Isaac Robert, also known as “Robbie”; and Rebecca Baptiste, also known as “Clytie.”
Grandchildren: Jadiah Mark, Jennard John, Jennia John, Ethan Williams, Zekiel Isaac, Ethan Edwards, Desmond Noel, Jason Noel, Jaron Noel, Michelle Bubb, Kenzel Nichols, Jezel Mitchell, Che Charles, and others.
In-laws: Four (4) in-laws and other relatives by marriage.
Cousins: Many cousins, too numerous to mention.
Nieces and Nephews: Many nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention.
Close Friends and Families: The Baptiste family of Munich; Floyd Alexis and family; The Charles family of Hope, Mt. Fan; The Noel family of La Mode; The Stanislaus family of Marquis; The Nedd family of Hermitage; The Abel family of Post Royal; The Edwards family of River Sallee, St. Mark; Ms. Gloria Budd; Nurse Thomas and family of Victoria; and many others too numerous to mention.
Also mourning his passing are many other relatives, close friends, neighbours and loved ones in Grenada, the United States, Jamaica, and elsewhere abroad.
Joseph “Walwin” Alexis, affectionately known as “Hi Joe,” was loved by his large and extended family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral service for the late Joseph “Walwin” Alexis, also known as “Hi Joe,” will take place on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the Grenville Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Interment will follow at: Grand Bras Cemetery.
May God comfort and strengthen his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family and friends during this time of bereavement.
We look forward with hope to that glorious morning when Jesus shall return, the dead in Christ shall rise, and families separated by death will be reunited, never to part again.
Until that great resurrection morning, sleep on, Brother Joseph, and take your rest.
