Checkley was one of the great electronic "Home Grown" vehicle technicians that supported the Grenadian mechanics and homeowners for years. Always willing, always committed, always supporting. It was his kind nature and welcoming smile I was greeted with when I visited Grenada. After sitting with him and his sister Ms. Joyce he brought me back to Grand Anse with spices to bring back home to America. I was going up the hill where my late Aunt Phyllis was standing on the veranda and before I could introduce him I heard her exclaim, “BILL”. It was at that moment I knew he was a man well loved and appreciated by ALL. Rest in paradise Mr. Bill I was blessed to meet you then.
