Whereas he exemplified for over twenty years, he played a vital role in shaping the lives of young people across the island. Whereas we acknowledge that birth is a beginning and death is a destination, and that every life is marked by the hyphen between those two dates—a hyphen that tells the story of one’s journey. Lieutenant Colonel Nimrol Devon Beckles was filled with love, purpose, and dedication to service. Whereas, though he is no longer with us in the physical sense, we know that we never lose the people we love, for they remain with us in memory, in influence, and in the countless ways their lives have shaped our own.
